2226 Third AvenueAlso known as: | The Seville Building | Though this is a fairly generic commercial building, its appeal is heightened by ornamentation and the expansion of its original display windows. The ground floor windows were originally more modest matching those of the upper story, but according to the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, it is believed that the windows achieved their current monumental width when the building was used as a store in the 1950's. Retail was just one of many lives this building has lived. It has at least been a school, a church, a warehouse, a restaurant, a store, and probably a lot more. Quick Facts
