What can you say about a one-story, yellow brick, generic building? Certainly it's not the star of the neighborhood, but then any city needs a number of these anonymous structures for utility infill. It certainly beats a surface parking lot.

This particular building was part of Seattle's Film Row that developed in the 1920's and 30's. It was the home of one of a number of businesses that would receive shipments of feature films from California by train, then distribute those films to cinemas from Alaska to Montana. The owners of these businesses took modest steps to make their buildings stand out, but none ever approached the glamor of a real Hollywood showpiece.

Still, this building does have a few redeeming qualities. Some stone ornamentation remains, but much of this building's original detail has been lost over the years.
