The Guild 45th TheaterFormerly: | The Paramount Theater | Another of the great West Coast movie houses that has managed to hang on in spite of changing times. It was built for stage performances in the "roaring 20's," but has evolved into a modern urban alternative movie theater with two screens. When it opened on what was then the outskirts of Seattle, it was known as The Paramount Theater. When another theater opened with the same name downtown a decade later, this building changed its name. By the 1980's, it needed to add another screen to remain competitive, and an addition was built next door with a café between the two box offices. Quick Facts
